David Yongsoo Park is the Program Director of the High School and Middle School Division at NYC Global Center Prep. A lifelong New Yorker who has lived and worked in all five boroughs, he brings a deep appreciation for the city's diversity, energy, and communities to his work with students and families.
An experienced educator and writer, David earned a B.A. in English Literature from Swarthmore College and an M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from NYU. He is the author of the novels BOY GENIUS and LAS CUCARACHAS , published by Akashic Books, as well as the essay collection THE ART OF EATING BITTER, which reflects on the joys and challenges of raising two children in New York City.
Whether in the classroom, as a school leader, or through his writing, David is passionate about helping young people find their voices, think creatively, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them.
